Do You Take Time to Dream?

Writer: Sabrina B.Sabrina B.

Hey there, did you ever take the time to dream? I'm not talking about dreaming at night when you're asleep, I'm talking about daydreaming. You know, those moments when your mind wanders off into the realm of possibilities when you let your imagination run wild and envision the life you want.

Perhaps you did when you were a kid, and the grownups around you taught you to stop daydreaming and focus on "important" stuff instead, does this sound familiar?

So, here's the thing. We get caught up in the past, replaying scenarios and dissecting every "what if" like we're archaeologists excavating ancient ruins. And in doing so, we dig ourselves deeper into the soil of yesterday, burying the seeds of tomorrow beneath layers of regret and nostalgia.

Setting the mood to daydreaming

You know, these days we hear everywhere a lot about being grateful, and that's a wonderful thing. But allow me to go a little beyond and set the mood of daydreaming for you by giving you a little more perspective on that gratitude we so often hear about. It's nothing more than acknowledging what is and enjoying these little things in and around us, in short: appreciating what is as it is, without expectations.

Let me ask you one thing: Is daydreaming even on your to-do list? Or is it just another item that gets pushed aside in favor of more "urgent" or "important" matters? We spend so much time dwelling on what is not working, what's "wrong," that we often forget to lift our heads and take a moment to dream. But daydreaming is more than just a flight of fancy. It's a powerful tool for gaining perspective and finding new solutions.

Daydreaming allows us to zoom out from the minutiae of everyday life and see the bigger picture. Imagine yourself on a Google map: when you're stuck in a negative spiral, you're zoomed in, focused only on your immediate surroundings. But when you allow yourself to daydream, you zoom out and see the whole world around you. It's like stepping back to see the entire landscape, filled with endless possibilities. Have you ever thought of this before?

Personally, when I feel trapped in a situation and can't see a way out, I practice zooming out. It's a technique I have imagined that helps me immensely, especially when coupled with energy work. Zooming out allows me to gain clarity and envision new pathways forward.

You see, daydreaming isn't just about wishful thinking. It's about wonder, creativity, possibilities. It's opening our minds and our lives, tuning in to synchronicities. Daydreaming is about finding out what we want. I mean, how often did you say I am not sure of what I want but I know for sure what I don't want anymore. So I’m inviting you to ponder on that one: how often did you stop and take the time to wonder about what you truly want in your life?

It is time to hit pause on the endless loop of "what ifs" and "should haves" and take a moment to appreciate what's right in front of us. From the sunlight filtering through the trees to the laughter of loved ones, there's so much beauty to be found in the here and now. Even the thorns and thistles that crop up along the way are just part of the journey, guiding us towards the roses that bloom in our dreams.

And hey, speaking of dreams, how big do you dare to dream? It's a question worth pondering as we navigate this wild and wonderful adventure called life. So let's grab our gardening gloves and get to work, my friend, cultivating a future filled with beauty, abundance, and joy.

Now that we’ve covered Step One: Daydreaming – the next step is to start making plans to turn those dreams into reality. It’s about taking those expansive visions and breaking them down into actionable steps. So, let’s roll up our sleeves and begin charting the course toward your aspirations. Are you ready for this?

Wishing you a wonderful day!

With love,

Sabrina B. 🌷
